Reported by: Kevin Young SupAir Madness was a great success. Paintball Adventures would like to extend its thanks to all the teams that made the time and effort to make it to Newfoundland's first Airball tournament. Saturday july 5th called for rain and many teams were worried that the tournament would be rained out, but they came anyway and the weather was perfect the whole day. The day started with Team jonnys playing against Overthrow. Jonnys really got to show their skills and it was evident they were going to be a top contender throughout the day. Throughout the preliminaries the teams battled it out and there were some very fast and aggressive games with jonnys coming out on top in the first half with 500 points and grafight just behind them with 470. During the second half of tourny the teams really got comfortable with the airball layout and we really got to see some skills from Aggression ( Team located out of St john's). Aggression quickly adapted to the field layout and were playing extremely well for a team that had to pick up a member they had never played with before. As the finals roled around we saw the top 4 teams play each other. Jonnys, Aggression, Ascension, and Javex. Everyone was definately surprised by the performance Javex put on during the whole tourny, they have never played airball before but it was evident they have been practicing. Keep it up guys, you will definetly be a contender in your next speedball tournament. As the finals winded down and the top 4 teams played round robin we got to see some of the most aggressive play for the whole day. Team aggression were really pounding their way into the finals with 2 impulses and a 2k3 cocker. Ascension another relatively new team played very well and only fell short 10 points to tie for second place. Team Jonnys really excelled in the finals and Maxed all their games for a total of 300 points. The Final scores came to Team Jonnys: 300 points Aggression : 110 points Ascension : 100 points First place - Team Jonnys Second place - Team Aggression Third place - Team Ascension Most sportsmanlike player - John Penney
